Sunner warm weather is finally here!
Carol had the baby pool ready for the boys to get in today. Both Connor and Ethan had a great time splashing and playing. Ethan loved the slide that was set up next to the pool, he would climb up and slide down backwards. Soon after Ethan was done playing in the pool Carol put him in his swing. As you can see by the picture Ethan fell asleep, he had a great day in the fresh air!

Jacob's last day of Kindergarten!
Jacob woke up on Friday in the best of moods, it was the last day of Kindergarten! He sang "School's out for-ever!" while he brushed his teeth, picked out his favorite outfit, and asked me put his hair in a faux-hawk. He said " I am so glad that I don't have to go back to school for a whole year! Mommy, can you believe that I'm gonna live at Grandma's house all summer!" I didn't argue with him, he'll soon figure out that adults don't go on Summer Break and in a short three months First Grade will be calling his name. But for now the days will be filled with swimming, watching Pokemon, and playing with toys all day!

Sleepy time

Ethan climbs before he walks!
Ethan has discovered that he can climb, and he has no objections as to what he will climb into. Recently I have found Ethan climbing inside his toy box and more than once he has fallen asleep in his toy box! I thought it was hillarious seeing Ethan shove his chubby legs into the bottom of his stroller. There was only room for one leg, but that didn't stop him! He was so proud of himself, kicking the one free leg as he talked to me in his baby language.

Ethan is ONE!!
Ethan turned one year old on May 5th! We had his birthday party on the 3rd (the weekend before his actual birthday) at Tom and Carol's house. The weather was gorgeous so we got to have the party outside, which was great because Ethan made a big mess with his cake! We had a Cinco de Mayo theme for his birthday food, serving a Nacho Bar accompanied by Jalapeno Poppers, Corn Cakes, and Quesidilla Swirls. I made the cake myself, it was in the shape of a 1 and had ETHAN down the center. Ethan had so many friends come and celebrate with him, we had a great time!

Ethan's stinky face
Ethan was playing on his horse when he started making the funniest face. I got my camera and got these shots of him being so silly! He scrunches up his nose and breaths in and out really fast, so I call it his stinky face. Now when you ask Ethan were his nose is he does his stinky face. It's so cute!

The kids with a million toys...
Carol and I were sitting at the table talking one day when I looked over and noticed that Ethan was trying to get in Sasha's dog cage. I thought it would be funny to see him inside so I helped him in and much to my surprise he loved being in there! Jacob soon followed and the two of them spent about 30 minutes in there playing. Of all the toys these two boys have, they had so much fun playing inside a dog cage...who knew?

Bath time
When Ethan was a newborn he hated taking baths. For a lot of babies this is their favorite time of day, not for Ethan! He would throw a huge fit and wouldn't stop until he was dressed and had a bottle. Thankfully Ethan has grown out of that stage and loves being in the tub. He especially loves when Jacob is in the tub too! Ethan will splash until there is water all over the bathroom and laugh and "talk" the whole time. Grandma Judy got him bath toys for his birthday, Ethan loves dunking the floating toys and watching them pop back up to the top of the water. Now Ethan throws a fit when bath time is over!

Biter Buscuits
Anyone who has cared for a teething baby knows about Biter Buscuits. They're gooey, messy, and get everywhere! Because of this I have begun to crumble the buscuits while still in the package, then give it to Ethan in a bowl. Before I came up with that idea though, I learned the hard way about the mess. Here are some pictures of Ethan having a great time making a huge mess!
