Ethan's new shoes!

Ethan got his first pair of shoes today! He did a great job holding still for the lady at Shoe Carnival when we were getting his shoe size. His size is 4.5 Wide. Believe it or not but the store only had 2 shoes that were wide, of course I bought them both! He looks like a big boy in his baby Nike's. He quickly got the hang of walking in them and hasn't tried to take them off...yet.

oooh, shiney...

Grandma Carol is so proud of Ethan!

"How do I get these strings in my mouth?"

Ethan has his shoes on! Just like a kid, loves the box better than what's inside!

It's a success!

Grandma to the rescue!

Ethan still turns his foot a little, we'll work on that!

Almost got it...

In a matter of minutes Ethan learned to walk in his new kicks!

Our new "soft" couch

Jerron and I bought a new couch this week. We had a leather sectional before, and I really didn't like it! It made too much noise when I moved, was cold in the winter, and hot in the summer. We purchased a very comfy couch that I love! Jacob said " I am so glad we got rid of the rubber couch, now I can sit on our new couch with no clothes on and I won't get cold!" I laughed so hard, I knew someone out there would get a kick out of that! Ethan can't get enough of the "soft" couch. He rubs his face on the arms and rolls all over the seats. Ethan giggles with every roll! I think we made a wise investment!

I placed this mirror here before it was hung and Ethan had a great time looking at himself.

My Daily Chaos Routine

Ethan has figured out that he can reach all the DVDs and the TV on/off button. Everyday when Ethan is done with his morning bottle he crawls over to the DVDs, pulls every single one onto the floor then proceeds to push the on/off button several times until I say "Ethan stop!" Then he turns, gives me a huge grin, and pushes the button again and again (and I don't mean my buttons!). I can distract him for a few minutes with a toy, but then he realizes what I'm doing and goes straight for the TV again. He may break all the DVDs and the TV, but my heart still melts every time he turns and smiles at me. He has me wrapped around his little finger.

Happy St. Patty's Day!!

And to help celebrate the holiday what better than a baby wrapped in a green boa!! Ashlin once again did a great job taking pictures! I absolutely love the close up shots of Ethan smiling, you can see his mile long eyelashes!

Yes folks, he is eating the chocolate coins

Look at those eyelashes!

Ethan's walker

Ethan got a walker from Tom and Carol for Christmas and he loves it! I can tell by the look on his face that he is so proud of himself and feels like a big boy! Ethan always looks around the room to be sure that everyone has their eyes on him, watching his astounding accomplishment.

Ethan's checking everyone out to make sure they are looking at him

He's big stuff!

Brotherly love

Jacob is reading now (yay!) and loves to read to Ethan. Ethan will sit still forever as long as he is getting a book read to him! It's a great situation~Jacob gets practice and Ethan has all the time in the world for Jacob to sound out words!

Ethan's reflection

Ethan recently found out that he can see through the glass panels in the coffee table. I love watching him discover things for the first time! We take life for granted and forget to notice the world like we did when we were babies, with pure innocence.

Bob's visit

My brother and his family came to visit us for a couple days last month. The visit was a blur (with five kids running around that's a given!), I only wish that I would've gotten more pictures! I was so shocked to see how big my niece and nephew are! Everyone got along pretty good, only a few fights over a toy here and there. I really miss them and hope to see them again soon!

Is there anything worse than a sick kid? Yes, two sick kids!

Jacob came home from school two weeks ago with a fever, pink eye, and ear infection. One day later Ethan had all the same symptoms. Ethan got better, but Jacob's symptoms kept getting worse. He had spiked fevers everyday, was dizzy, had migraines, chest congestion, and severe stomach cramps. In one week Jacob had a CT Scan of his brain and abdomen, a urinalysis, and blood work. All tests came back negative, except for the fact that he has a sinus infection. His doctor was stumped and so was a surgeon that we went to. Jacob has been on antibiotics and allergy medication for two weeks and is finally getting better! When a child is sick it seems as though time stops and won't start again until they are felling good! I am just now getting back to my schedule, hopefully the school year will go by with no more sick days!

He never stopped smiling!

I always know who to go to when mommy says no...

Needless to say Jacob and Ethan can't get enough of their Aunt Ashy and Uncle
Brandon! Ashlin lives a couple hours away and tries to make it back to town as much as possible to see everyone, especially the nephews. Jacob has learned all kinds of songs thanks to Uncle Brandon, one day he started singing "Bye Bye Miss American Pie!" over and over again. Brandon got Jacob an Ipod for Christmas and Jacob didn't put it down until he knew every song!
I love to see Jacob and Ethan's eyes light up when we get to see Ashlin and Brandon!
