Ethan's 6 month doctor appointment
Ethan had his 6 month doctor appointment yesterday November 21st. When his doctor came in the room she said "Hi chubby!" I thought awww, how cute! Then she gave me the percentages of his growth cycle. Ethan is weighing in at 19.4 pounds (75th percentile), and is measuring 29 inches (in which there is no percentile for, he is literally off the charts. I'm guessing he is in the 110th percentile). The doctor said "What are you feeding this kid, steak and potatoes!" The doctor went on to say that Ethan is very healthy and I shouldn't be concerned of the high percentages. I need to start feeding him three times daily and hopefully that will cut down on the amount of formula he gets in a day (36 ounces). Ethan then got his shots, poor guy! Thank God Grandma Carol was there to stay in the room with Ethan during the shots! Carol, what would I do without you!?

Parenting 101: How to get your kid to eat
Some of you may know that Jacob is a VERY picky eater. He goes through phases of food. There was the pancake and bacon phase, then there was the peanut butter and potato chip sandwich phase, then the corn dog phase. Now Jacob won't eat ANYTHING! He just refuses to eat. So when he came up to me yesterday and asked for cheese and cookies I didn't hesitate to give it to him. He won't eat my pot roast and potatoes, but he'll eat a thin mint cookie and cheese...I don't know what to do with him!

Uh-oh Here Comes Trouble!
Welcome Baby Connor!
On October 28, 2008 Ryan and Vanessa Kendall welcomed their baby, Connor, into the world! He weighed 6 pounds 9 ounces. We are so excited to watch Ethan and Connor grow up together, I know they will be great friends!

Sunday Dinner at the Garber's House
Every Sunday our group of family and friends meet at Tom and Carol's house for dinner and to catch up with everyone. This last Sunday Jeff, Joni, and Leah Sedberry came over. It is so much fun watching Ethan and Leah have some "baby time". Ethan loves to watch Leah and listen to her voice, most the time he tries to talk to her by coo-ing or laughing. As you can see by the end of the night we all end up on the floor to play with the kids.
Thank you Grandma Judy and Papa Brad!
Jacob recently received a package from Grandma Judy and Papa Brad all the way from Washington! Inside was Halloween Chocolates (they were yummy-I had to test them first of course!), Harry Potter Suckers that turn your tongue red, a candy skeleton, and $30! Jacob got the game Pokemon Rangers with his birthday money and hasn't put his Nintendo DS down ever since!

Thank you Aunt Debbie and Grandma Loretta!
Jacob recently got a package from Aunt Debbie and Grandma Loretta all the way from Tennessee! He was so happy to find Tennessee Volunteers items inside. There was a nightlight (which he has in his room next to his bed so he can turn it on every night), electric fan, and a book featuring Tennessee's mascot, Smokey. Also Jacob got money which he has plans to go to the movies and see Bolt. Jacob misses Aunt Debbie and Grandma Loretta so much and always asks when we can go visit them. We love you both and can't wait to see you again!
Jacob's Birthday Party
Jacob had his 6th birthday party on November 15th. We went to Chuck-E-Cheese (like we do every year) and everyone had a great time! Jacob's guests were Blake (a friend from school) and his family, Mitzie, Little Johnny and his family, Grandma Carol, Papa Tom, Uncle Brandon, Uncle Bob, Aunt Laurie, Uncle BB, Aunt Vanessa, Connor, and of course Mommy Daddy and Ethan. Jacob ended up getting 548 tickets! Mostly from Uncle BB who got over 300 (thank you!) From Chuck-e-Cheese we all went to our house for more partying! Jacob wants to say thank you to everyone who came and also for all the great gifts.
Grandma having fun!
Jacob was very scared and couldn't wait to get down
Ethan got to go on some rides too!
Again Jacob wasn't so sure of the ride. He kept saying "I'm scared!"
