Happy Valentine's Day!
Ashlin, Jerron's sister, took these great pictures of the boys! I am really looking forward to this Valentine's Day, not only because it's Ethan's first, but because this will be the first year Jacob will bring home Valentine's Day crafts from school! Jacob is having a Valentine's Day party at school where each kid will exchange cards and candy. Jacob is really nervous to hand out cards to the girls in his class, he has even been asking for advice on "how to talk to the ladies"! Ashlin asked if Jacob would be her Valentine and he responded " Then who would be Uncle Matt's Valentine if your my Valentine?" Good question from a six year old! At least he knows his boundaries : )

Pictures by Aunt Ashlin
Ethan's Aunt Ashlin loves to take professional pictures of the boys. She does a great job! Ethan and Jacob do a much better job smiling for her than any other photographer. Here is a few pictures Ashlin took of Ethan last weekend. The outfit Ethan is wearing is an outfit that Jacob wore when he was Ethan's age.

Ethan is pulling up on furniture!
Last week Jacob was sitting on a chair playing his Nintendo DS. Ethan was on the floor and wanted to badly to get up on the chair with Jacob. Ethan reached his arm up and to my surprise grabbed Jacob's pant leg and pulled himself up to a standing position! I was so shocked that I just stood there with my jaw on the floor! After that Ethan has been pulling himself up constantly, and has been getting into trouble along the way! He grabs drinks off the coffee table and spills them all over the floor, he tries to pull up on unstable objects and they tip over, and he is always going in the bathroom to pull up on the toilet. Of course I am now having to take things away and Ethan has learned to throw major fits. He throws himself on the floor and screams to the top of his lungs. I think the terrible two's have hit a little early!
First Bites
Ethan has started to eat his first bites of solid food! His very first "meal" was pancakes. I tore them up really small so Ethan could chew it in just a few bites. Well I guess I tore the pancakes up too small because Ethan was eating three pieces at a time! He still has a hard time getting all the food in his mouth, most of it ends up in his lap, but that doesn't slow him down! So far he has tried pancakes, waffles, corn bread, and french fries...really healthy right!! I'm still giving him baby food for now, but I'm sure he will be up at the table with us soon eating me out of house and home!

Mmmmm.....
