Ethan's first haircut!

Ethan has always had a head full of hair! I think it's so cute! I've noticed recently that Ethan is constantly scratching at his ear because his hair is tickling him. His hair also has to be pushed over to the side because it is in his eyes - he looks like Donald Trump! So I decided that Ethan needed a haircut! Jerron, Jacob, Ethan, and I went to Great Clips to get both the boys hair cut. When the hairdresser saw Ethan's hair she said "How old is he? He's got a lot of hair!" She was shocked to hear that he was only 8 months old! Jerron held Ethan in his lap so Ethan wouldn't fuss too much, and it really worked! Ethan didn't fuss at all! I thought it was so cute when Ethan looked up at the hairstylist with such endearing eyes. Jacob told his hairstylist to hurry so he could watch Ethan getting his hair cut! Ethan now looks like a big boy and he is so adorable! The stylist saved Ethan's first curl on a certificate complete with name and date.

Ethan kept looking up at her-probably making sure she wasn't a doctor getting ready to give him a shot!

Bottle time

Believe it or not, Ethan is still eating every three hours! It's like clockwork, right at the three hour mark Ethan starts crying at crawls toward his "bottle chair". Ethan will even keep himself awake so he can get that last bottle in before his nap. When he is done with the bottle he will toss it on the floor as if to say "Ahhhh, that hit the spot!"

Jacob and Ethan

Every time I turn around Ethan is crawling down the hallway to see what big brother Jacob is doing. When I say "Ethan what are you doing?!" he turns around and smiles, then crawls even faster to Jacob's room! Most the time Jacob hides on his bed so Ethan won't disrupt him while he plays his video games. Sometimes I have Jacob sit on the floor so Ethan can watch him play. Seeing Jacob be a good brother really brings joy to my heart!

Ethan has two teeth!

Ethan got his first teeth about three weeks ago! They are finally in enough to where I can see them when he smiles. It has been a rough month, Ethan is not taking the pain very well. He has started to wake up at night again wanting a bottle and he gets very fussy during the day. For the last week Ethan has been doing better with eating, but now I think he is starting to cut his upper teeth. Hopefully the teeth will come in quickly and Ethan can get some relief!

Let us see those new pearly whites!

There's those teethers!

Still looks like a toothless grin : )

Happy New Year!

Jerron, Jacob, Ethan, and I rang in the New Year at Tom and Carol's house. Ethan fell asleep at 9PM, but Jacob stayed up all night to "party" with the adults. BB and Vanessa brought over sparkling cider and we all had a sip while watching the ball drop. Jacob thought he was big stuff drinking champagne. Hope everyone has a wonderful 2009!!

Dinner at the Sedberry's

Last night Jerron, the boys, and I went to Jeff and Joni Sedberry's house for dinner. Brandon, Ashlin, Matt, BB, Vanessa, Connor, Bob, Laurie, and of course Leah were also there. We all had a great time playing Wii, watching the kids play, and eating great food! Thank you Jeff and Joni!

Seperation Anxieties

Grandma Simon, Aunt Nancy, and Uncle Paul had to go back home to Arizona last week. We all had such a great time visiting with them. Uncle Paul wore a hat while he was here and left it to me because he said that he would never wear it back home. Jacob found the hat one night and took it back to his room. When I went to tuck him he was wearing the hat and told me that he would wear the hat to bed every night because it reminded him of Uncle Paul. Jacob said " I miss them so much mommy. I wish they didn't have to go back home.". Jacob actually had tears in his eyes. I hope Uncle Paul knows that he has a buddy that is patiently waiting for him to come back to Indiana.
