Cookie Party 2009!
For years we have kept the cookie decor party tradition alive, and this year was no exception! Carol and I bake cookies for days leading up to this party. Of course the kids were the first people in their chairs when the icing got to the table. We had colored coconut, sprinkles, red hots, crushed peppermint, everything to make yummy cookies!

"Cheese!"
Ethan saw this slide outside, and just HAD to bring it in. He was playing on it for a while when I decided to take a picture. I said "Ethan say 'Cheese'" and much to my surprise, he did! We all laughed and so Ethan would climb to the top of his slide and say "Cheese!" over and over again. Each smile is different, but all adorable!

December 2009
December is always a busy month, but it's my absolute favorite!! There's nothing better than visiting with friends and family. Here are just a few pictures of just that...
It's starting to look a lot like Christmas!
Christmas was full of excitement this year! We had special guests from Arizona - Grandma Simon, Aunt Nancy, and Uncle Paul! Jacob was so happy to see everyone, and got straight to business as soon as he walked in the door. Jacob wanted to play UNO, read books, play Pokemon cards, etc. Unfortunately everyone got sick over the 2 week time span that they were here. They very cold weather didn't help any, but we still had a great time visiting and spending the holiday together!
Grandma Simon wrapped up in the scarf Aunt Nancy made for Jacob.

Jacob Birthday Party!
This year Jacob wanted a Skate Party! We all were SO excited to go skating and have a good time! Matt and Ashlin got Jacob roller skates for his birthday! Jacob had been asking for skates for weeks, so he was very happy to get them! Jacob and I tie-dyed shirts for everyone as thank-you gifts and also to be able to look out on the rink and see who was a guest at our party. We also made goodie-bags filled with horns, fake tattoo's, pencils, and fake mustaches. I made TV Dinner cupcakes that looked like Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, and Peas and Carrots. We all had a lot of fun and Jacob loved every minute!
Happy 7th Birthday Jacob!!
Jacob turned 7 on the 13th of November! He had an awesome day! First he got an electric Razor Scooter from Grandpa Tom and Grandma Carol! He was SO excited to ride his new scooter that he went out that night to test it out- I had a little fun on it too! Then Jerron and I took Jacob to the restaurant of his choice, IHOP. Jacob got Funny Face pancakes and the waitresses sang Happy Birthday to him. What's even more funny is that I got Jacob a fake beard and he wore it the whole time we were at IHOP! From there we went to the movies and saw " A Christmas Carol " in 3-D. We all had so much fun!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Halloween 2009 was a great one! When I asked Jacob what he wanted to be he said "Nothing cute, anything with Death will be fine." My idea for Star Wars characters was out the window at that point! So Jacob decided to be Hell's Gate Keeper, and Ethan was a police man (just like his daddy). They look great!
