Halloween Package from Washington

Papa Brad and Grandma Judy sent the boys an early Halloween package. It was full of PEZ and a PEZ Dracula dispenser (so cool)! Also in the package was Chocolate and more candy! Thank you Grandma and Papa!

You can actually see the excitement in his face :)

Halloween 2010

Happy Halloween! The boys were so excited for their night of tricks and treats! Ethan's costume was a police uniform and Jacob was a zombie. Ethan was fighting me tooth and nail when I tried to put his costume on and when he saw all the other kids with their costumes on he put his shirt on really quick! The kids did a great job and we had a great time!

A very creepy house

Ethan was so happy to be able to get so close to the firetrucks

Country Line Orchard

Ashlin and Matt invited our group to come up to their house for the weekend. We also visited a local apple orchard that let you tour the orchard and pumpkin patch.

Fall was definitely in the air here! The colors are beautiful!

Our group: BB, Jacob, Carol, Ashlin, Matt, Ashlin, Jeff, Joni, Leah, Mallory, Jerron, Ethan, Brandon, and Alicia,...and of course me :)

"Look Mommy, I'm a post!"

Ethan LOVED watching the tractors

Jacob: "I think I found the biggest apple here!"

Ethan: "What the heck are we supposed to be doing?"

Jerron and Matt, too cool for school

Because it wasn't prime apple season, all the apples had been picked and were in bins

Pumpkin Patch and Hay Ride

One of my favorite fall activities is taking a hay ride to the pumpkin patch. The colors of the leaves and cool air just make me smile. Ethan and I joined the Mommy's and the kids of the SAHM's club for a pumpkin patch play date. Ethan got to experience a hay maze that was created just for toddlers. We also got to take a hay ride to pick out a creepy pumpkin (one with bumps on it). Ethan's favorite part was chasing the kittens through all the pumpkins.

This was story time, as you can see Ethan refused to sit (he is in the lower right hand corner)

At the Park

I recently became a member of a local Stay At Home Mom's Club. Ethan and I have been able to explore new places and meet great people! Lately we went to a park that I have become really fond of. As you can see the architecture of the play yard is very original. I love that parents can go on the slides and actually fit! The buildings and bridges are reminiscent of an old German village. Ethan enjoyed it just as much as I did! I think a picnic at the park is just what we needed.

Jacob's Caterpillar Project

Jacob was asked to do a caterpillar project for a school assignment. Nana and Papa helped him make a fantastic display! Jacob was very proud of his work and couldn't wait to show his teacher and classmates.

All the second graders displayed their caterpillars at a PTA fundraiser. Each caterpillar was numbered and the attendees were asked to vote for the best project (each vote cost 25 cents). Jacob unfortunately didn't win, but we all know who won our hearts :)
